Practicing over the Holidays

How do we remain consistent when all of our schedules are turned upside down with parties, family gatherings, and concerts among other committments? Keep it fun, keep it simple. Review Review Review. Listen Listen Listen! Play fun practice games such as rolling dice and using one di as the number of the song from the book to play and the second di is how many times to play it. Have your children entertain your guests with review pieces (if they want to, let's not force them). Keep upbeat and convey the message that practicing is fun and happens every day of the week-even on a holiday! Let's all leave comments with what works for us and feel free to vent frustrations as well.

Comments

There have been some questions about how to leave comments. The easiest way to comment is to leave comments "anonymously" and just sign your name at the end of the comment. Click where it says "comments," write in the box provided, and then select anonymous instead of blogger profile name. Hope this helps.
